At this time the following discussion and motions were made by the Board of Finance:

Motion:  To restore $10,257.00 to the Tax Collector’s budget.

Moved: B. O’Nell                             Second: B. Thorpe

Discussion:  None

Approved:  7-0-0




Motion:  To restore the $20K back to the Police Capital budget for a total of $66K in that budget.

Moved: B. Thorpe                                Second: D. LaMay

Discussion:  Mr. Thorpe handed out research he had done on police vehicles.  In the interest of safety he wanted to be sure that the vehicles coming off of the fleet would be put to good use in town or able to be traded in.  A detailed discussion ensued.

Motion passed.

Motion:  To reduce the WPCA software budget by $15K leaving $1K.

Motion:  To authorize WPCA to buy software as needed utilizing the Sewer Avoidance Fund up to the amount of $22K.

Motion:  To reduce the police vehicle maintenance budget by $5K.

Motion:  To recommend the general government budget of $15,444,000. to town meeting on May 3, 2012 at the Middle School.
